Reproductive Freedom
Attorney General Josh Kaul believes we must protect Wisconsinites' freedom to make fundamental reproductive health-care decisions. The Wisconsin Department of Justice is working to bring clarity regarding the legality of abortion in Wisconsin and to establish that Wisconsin law does not criminalize abortion in nearly all circumstances.
The State of Wisconsin has also filed amicus briefs and joined multi-state efforts to protect access to reproductive healthcare.

Protecting Voting Rights
The Wisconsin Department of Justice also works to protect voting rights. Wisconsin DOJ has emphasized that voter intimidation is a crime , and AG Kaul has spoken frequently about the safety, security, and fairness of Wisconsin's elections.
