About Investigative Canines

​Wisconsin DOJ's investigative canines support criminal investigations across the state by helping investigators locate evidence that may otherwise be difficult to find. The canines are specially trained for investigative work, including narcotics detection, accelerant detection, and electronic detection.

These canine teams assist law enforcement partners during searches, fire investigations, drug investigations, internet crimes against children investigations, and other criminal investigations.
